چکیده

Background: Chronic angle-closure glaucoma (CACG) is a visually destructive disease. Effective management of CACG requires identifying eyes with narrow angle.
Objective: To compare pentacam gonioscopy in detecting angles CACG.
Method: We enrolled 101 glaucoma. Gonioscopy was performed on all eyes. Using Shaffer’s grading, subjects were classified into angle closure and open angle. Anterior chamber volume (ACV) anterior depth (ACD) measured the pentacam. Receiver operating curve constructed for each parameter area under (AUC) calculated.
Results: Ten (9.9%) as gonioscopy. detect angles, ACV (AUC 0.956; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.894–0.987) similar to ACD (AUC=0.930, p=0.33). cutoff 102 mm3 , had 100% sensitivity 88.5% specificity patients. With an PPV 48.9% (95% CI, 34.8–68.2), while NPV (94.1– 100%), using 9.9% prevalence from this study.
Conclusion: by have potential determine Keywords: glaucoma, Pentacam HR, volume,

Gonioscopic Features in Patients with Acute and Chronic Angle-Closure Glaucoma

Background: A number of ocular biometric parameters, iris hiotologic and anatomic characters have been suggested as inciting factors for converting patients with narrow angle to angle-closure glaucoma. This study was conducted to determine if there was any goniscopic difference between patients with acute angle-closure glaucoma (AACG) and chronic angle-closure glaucoma (CACG). Methods: ...

Narrow angles and angle closure: anatomic reasons for earlier closure of the superior portion of the iridocorneal angle.

OBJECTIVE To quantitatively investigate the ultrasound biomicroscopic features of eyes with asymmetric narrowing of the iridocorneal angles. METHODS Asymmetric angles were defined as those differing by 2 or more Shaffer grades between the superior and inferior angles. We performed ultrasound biomicroscopy on 18 eyes in 18 patients. Measurements of the following were made: the angle recess are...
